Repair an invisible zipper?
I sewed a pillow sham with an invisible zipper last night and as soon as I'd finished and was putting the pillow inside and zipping it up, the zipper separated! I managed to get the zip almost back to the end, but one side has more length to it, so when it's at the end on one side, there's still some extra on the other so it won't close all the way.
Does anyone have any tips for how to fix this? My sewing teacher said that if I can get the zipper open all the way, it should be back on track and I wouldn't need to replace it (which I'm hoping is true). Any suggestions?
Oh, that's frustrating. You have to pry off the zipper stop so that you can get the zipper completely apart and start over.

I bought a strapless prom dress, but the bust is too big, and our seamstress can't alter.?
I bought this prom dress from la femme, you can see it through the link at the bottom..The bust on the dress is a too big, but not by a large amount. The bust kinda juts out a little bit from where I think it should be, the stomach region is also a little too big. Any ideas on how to work around it? Our seamstress says she can't alter it because of the invisible zipper on the right side, anybody have an idea??

depending on the fabric, if its all a soft satin and not padded you can take a regular sewing machine and sew it in an inch or however much you think, sew it on the left side. I used to do this to all my prom dresses OR do that safety pin thing that the other lady suggested. Turn the dress inside out and on the left side of the dress pin it to your desired size. or you can even get a thread and needle and put several stitches on the inside!
