How to Write to Learn, You don’t need Art Easels to be Creative
Whether it’s writing for the web at a job or blogging for fun, writing on a daily basis can be a great tool for learning. Why? Well, not only will it strengthen your vocabulary but you will be forced to research many things in order to develop a story, a thought, even an educated opinion. That is why I write at work and in my free time, it helps me learn. How? As I mentioned, having to research regularly definitely increases knowledge. But there are plenty more reasons why you don’t need art easels and you just need paper and a pen to be creative and expand your thinking.
1. Writing for work can force you to think thoughts through faster and in a professional manner.
2. Writing for fun will allow 100% creativity and your own opinions to be earmarked.
3. Blogging can increase your chances of networking with other intelligent people who will share information via blog comments or within their own blog posts.
4. Restricted writing such as writing for the web or for a specific niche sport will help you become a complex thinker and allow you to learn the ins and outs of specific and technical writing. Poems, scripts, and research papers all require a certain skill set, to have them great makes you ten times more valuable as a writer.
5. Writing everyday will help you get to know yourself better as far as your thinking and planning. Therefore, you can strategize more easily in other life situations.
6. Writing for deadlines can be a challenge that strengthens your overall work ethic and the way you go about each project.
7. Writing on a regular basis will expand your overall vocabulary and mature your speaking abilities in the long run.

Art Easel Questions
Does it matter what type of easel you purchase?
I am an art history student who is taking a few painting classes at my university. Today I went to Aaron Brothers and purchased one of those "Big Top Artist" easels, and I realized it was for children, not students. Does it matter though? It's a floor standing easel made out of pine wood. I bought it cheap for $39.99.
Yes, I'm planning to work at home as well.
It shouldn't matter, no. As long as you are comfortable using it and it holds your canvas, it doesn't matter what the box says its primary use is. Personally I don't even use an easel, though I have several.
Acrylic and oil paints.?
So I've just started getting into painting, I use to paint a little in art class, and I went out and bought a bunch of stuff, brushes, paints, easel, you know the basic things. I bought the acrylic paints because the oils were about 3x the cost, so I did a couple of paintings last night and there decent imo. Anyway I was online and saw some really amazing paintings but they were all done in oil and i was wondering can you get the same quality from acrylics?

If you are just starting out, then i would say painting with acrylic is a good way to start. If what you want to do is similar to the images you posted links to you shouldn't have problems with acrylics. If, on the other hand, if you plan to never use oils because they cost too much or you are going to listen to all that hogwash and scare tactics on how toxic oils are, you will be cheating yourself of an experience of what oils can produce. I started with acrylics but it is oils that give me the control i need for the effect i look for in my work. Read up on oil painting and if you think they may be for you give them a try sometime down the line. Settle on the medium of your choice based on the effect you are trying to achieve... anyone that tells you there is no difference doesn't now what they are talking about. My work can be checked out at hellosanantonio.com under artist name GUERRO1.
